I made one of these a few years ago for a display of things to do with old books at work and at a librarians conference. I just hated to see all the books being thrown out so I was trying to encourage the art teacher and the students to do something with old books.
I still have 3 books at work that I am working on folding with more complicated folds. I just do a fold every now and then when I have the time.

ooohhh pretty.

I just made some of these for a display (without the covers) and found it to be so relaxing.

Oh clever you! That looks beautiful.

I'd love to try some of the book art where the parts of the pages are cut away to reveal the ones beneath, but I fail miserably at such precise work.

Make more!
